Just me
In the summer of 1941, at the age of 16, I traveled to visit my aunt who lived in Satu Mare, Romania.  When I was to return home, I learned that the Germans had occupied my home area and had taken my parents, two sisters and brother to “Poland.”  I never saw my family again.  I eventually returned home and was alone for three years.  A girlfriend, who was also in a similar situation and I, took turns staying at one another’s house.  I was rounded up by the Germans in 1944, sent to the ghetto in Chust, and then to Auschwitz (Tattoo number: A-11716)
