My father Baily was a talented musician. Marget, my mother was a very loving, soft kind. She made clothes but had stomach problems, ulcers. I didn’t know my grandfather Yishka, he was 75 years old when he died. He delivered sugar for a living.
I made shoes in Budapest and then was taken to Auschwitz. We were not religious growing up. After the camps, we went to Sweden, then Chicago and finally settled in Detroit. I was good at sewing, cooking. I liked to give to others.
