About ten family members and me
I was eleven years old and living in Poland with my family. One late night, the Russians invaded our community. They came into our residence and told my family to pack a suitcase. They didn’t ask any of the other families around us to leave, I don’t know why, maybe because we were well off. They put us on a cattle train with many other people and we were shipped to Siberia. The trip took 3-4 weeks. They didn’t feed us. They would occasionally stop and let us off the cattle train to get very little water.
